Our local section offers a single scholarship, which this year is worth at least $1,000, to support an individual who wishes to pursue career in engineering or computer science. The local scholarship was established in 1989 by Virginia Power and has been funded by area corporations annually. This year, the Richmond Area SWE members have worked hard to fundraise for the scholarship. The members of SWE are committed to the mission of encouraging engineering as a career choice for young women. For information on applying for the Richmond area section scholarship please contact our scholarship chair at scholarship@swe-richmond.org.
